We seek to make continuous improvements in the environmental performance and comply with the requirements of local and international laws and regulations. We properly handle the smoke, water and other waste we expel.

There is no forced, bonded or involuntary prison labor. Workers are not required to lodge “deposits” or their identity papers with their employer and are free to leave their employer after reasonable notice.

Workers, without distinction, have the right to join or form trade unions of their own choosing and to bargain collectively.
The employer adopts an open attitude towards the activities of trade unions and their organizational activities.

Workers’ representatives are not discriminated against and have access to carry out their representative functions in the workplace.
Where the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining is restricted under law, we as an employer facilitate, and do not hinder, the development of parallel means for independent and free association and bargaining.

To every extent possible work performed it is performed on the basis of recognized employment relationship established through national law and practice.

Obligations to employees under labor or social security laws and regulations arising from the regular employment relationship is not avoided through the use of labor-only contracting, subcontracting, or home-working arrangements, or through apprenticeship schemes where there is no real intent to impart skills or provide regular employment, nor shall any such obligations.

We provide a safe and healthy working environment to prevent accidents and injury to health arising out of, linked with, or occurring in the course of work or as a result of the operation of employer facilities. A safe and hygienic working environment is provided, bearing in mind the prevailing knowledge of the industry and of any specific hazards. Adequate steps are taken to prevent accidents and injury to health arising out of, associated with, or occurring in the course of work, by minimizing, so far as is reasonably practicable, the causes of hazards inherent in the working environment. Workers receive regular and recorded health and safety training, and such training is repeated for new or reassigned workers. Access to clean toilet facilities and potable water, and, if appropriate, sanitary facilities for food storage are provided. Accommodation, where provided is, clean, safe and meets the basic needs of the workers. We have assigned the responsibility for health and safety to a senior management representative.

Wages and benefits paid for a standard working week meet, at a minimum, national legal and industry benchmark standards, whichever is higher. In any event, wages always are enough to meet basic needs and to provide some discretionary income. All workers are provided with written and understandable information about their employment conditions in respect to wages before they enter employment and about the particulars of their wages for the pay period concerned each time that they are paid. Neither deductions from wages as a disciplinary measure is permitted nor any deductions from wages not provided for by national law are permitted without the expressed permission of the worker concerned. All disciplinary measures are recorded.

There is no recruitment of child labor. Children and young persons under 18 are not employed as they are considered younger than the age for completing compulsory education. These policies and procedures conform to the provisions of the relevant ILO Standards.

Working hours comply with national laws and benchmark industry standards, whichever affords greater protection. In any event, workers are not on a regular basis, required to work in excess of 56 hours per week and are provided with at least one day off for every 7 day period on average. Overtime is voluntary, which not exceeds 12 hours per week, it is not demanded on a regular basis and always compensated at a premium rate.

We deliver positive benefits to aid the community and workers. We also plan to initiate other programs in this regard. These may include aspects such as hospitals, schools, community centre, sports/health programs, transport to local facilities such as doctors and markets/shops, AIDS program, etc.
